The most obvious cash investments are deposits in bank or building society accounts, or in a Cash ISA. It is also possible to invest in money market funds which potentially provide on-going income or growth in the value of fund shares.

  • It pays to shop around for accounts with the best available interest rates, this is a process that one of our advisers can assist you with.
  • When looking for the best rates it is important to take flexibility into account. Fixed term (or Notice) accounts usually pay higher interest rates than Instant Access accounts as they limit you as to when you can make withdrawals.
